Bio:

Ruth Christine Birch was raised from the age of twelve by her older brother, Noah, following the death of both their parents.

Like the rest of her family, Ruthie is very family oriented. She is closest to her brother, Noah, and her sister Mary, but she is especially close to her sister-in-law, Shelly, whom she met for the first time when Shelly was pregnant with her twin nephews, Parker and Peyton Meyers. Despite their age differences, Shelly soon became Ruthie’s best friend.

After high school, Ruth studied to become a registered nurse and currently works for the Gotham Public Schools as an elementary school nurse. She is active in the United Methodist church they attend, is a member of the choir and women’s group, and heads the yearly project to bring holiday gift baskets to shut ins.
